"Getting closer" cont.

We realize we've said those words before, but it's true...every time! Last May we moved from Port Townsend back to Portland, so we've been less hands-on, to say the least. We visited Port Townsend recently and someone reminded us there are some diehards out there who would enjoy an update. Sorry to leave you hanging!

The flybridge is looking great! Alan Phillips of Bristol Marine has done a beautiful job building the hardtop supports, railings and seats, now on to the bow railing. The SEA Marine canvas crew has crafted the flybridge enclosure and will build the seats next.

The systems and electrical work is just about done. Canvas is ready to follow with headliner.

Aaron should be painting the hull this week!

Hawkins of Haven Boatworks planed, sanded, painted and varnished the formerly wallpapered doors, cleaned up the old hardware and they look like new. Not sure why, but seeing doors hung feels like a big step.

After hull painting, we'll actually be able to float our boat!
