Getting close...really!

Apologies for the lack of communication. We've been so busy, and admittedly a bit burned out, but we are continuing to make progress. The other day we were looking for a photo from early in the project and it reminded us how far we've come. As I write this, I'm surrounded by moving boxes in our Port Townsend rental house. In a few weeks, we'll move our belongings to our house in Portland and be a big step closer to living on the boat while we're in PT.

A second milestone is our commitment to participate in the 2025 Wooden Boat Festival! SEQUEL will be in the water in September! Check it out: https://woodenboat.org/

Progress, back to front:

Pat rebuilt the flybridge ladder, framed the flybridge hatch, and retrofitted the port side cabinet that used to contain a freezer to house the washer/dryer. We refinished the walls, doors, cabinetry and helm station (thanks to Will & Gabby for sanding). Pat also built a beautiful door for the laundry cabinet, to be installed soon.

Interior cabinet installation and finishing is almost done. Quartz counters have been installed (AMM Granite & Marble did flawless work). Sink, ice maker, fridge and oven have been installed, dishwasher to come. Electrical work continues. Haven Boatworks' expert finisher, Mary and crew, painted and varnished the fixed surfaces in the salon and galley, we varnished the woodwork below and the drawers and cabinet doors. Master carpenter, Daniel Hawkins, of Haven Boatworks built all the cabinetry and it's beautiful and functional. Wait 'til you see the wine cabinet!

Pat has prepped the cockpit for finishing, Aaron has completed the topside paint, hardtop support rails are in the installation process.

Our to-do list is down to 1 page! In addition to completing the projects shown, it includes installing headliner when electrical is done, finishing the wood floor, installing cork floor in galley and carpet below, installing seating on the flybridge, railings, attaching the hardtop, making the canvas enclosure and painting the hull. We'll provide reports in a more timely fashion in the future. Thanks for your interest!
